About Us

HicksStrong began its work in 2019 after the tragic suicide of Macoy Hicks, an active duty US Navy Sailor who suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). At the time of his death, Macoy was only 20 years old.

In response to this loss, Macoy's parents and sister joined together to create HicksStrong Inc.

HicksStrong's mission is to save military lives by linking military members with therapist via telehealth and covering the cost of up to 24 sessions.

HicksStrong also provides service members with a Hug Mug, so they know they are not alone, they matter, and they are loved.

Over the past two and a half years, HicksStrong has grown the number of members served by over 3X each year:

- 2019 - 5 Clients for 38 covered sessions
- 2020 - 23 Clients for 144 covered sessions
- 2021 - 97 Clients for 600 covered sessions
