GFCSD Backpack Program (Glens Falls City School District Backpack Program)

About Us

The Glens Falls City School District Backpack Program provides kid-friendly, easy-to-prepare food for students in need to bring home on the weekends. With over 50% of our students being considered economically disadvantaged, many of the students in our district rely on the food provided at school as their main source of food. Our mission is that no child faces a weekend or school break without access to food. We currently have over 150 kids in our program that are in grades prek-12th who each receive their own bag food each week which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner items, as well as snacks. The GFCSD Backpack Program is completely donation based and receives no funding from the district.
