NOTICE OF VACANCY
SENIOR PLANNER
Warren County Planning is seeking to fill the position of Senior Planner. The Senior Planner performs moderately difficult and complex professional planning work involving municipal, County, and regional planning activities. Work may include conducting feasibility, cost/benefit, environmental, sociological, economic, and related analyses; preparing grant applications and technical reports; managing grant-funded projects; coordinating with municipalities, agencies, and the public; assisting with land use and community development initiatives; and participating in public meetings, presentations, and outreach efforts. Evening meetings may be required.
Does related work as required.
Salary: $62,900
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in planning, architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, environmental studies, geography, natural resources, political science or related field and two (2) years of full-time work experience (or its part-time equivalence) in municipal, community or regional planning; or
- Bachelor’s degree in planning, architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, environmental studies, geography, natural resources, political science or related field and three (3) years of full-time work experience (or its part-time equivalence) in municipal, community or regional planning
Residency Requirements: Must be a resident of Warren County or a contiguous County at time of appointment.
This is a competitive class position and will be filled in accordance with Civil Service Law and Warren County Civil Service rules.
