The Lake George Central School District is seeking to fill the position of Transportation Supervisor/Automotive Mechanic. This is a supervisory position involving responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the transportation system of the Lake George Central School District.
Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and three (3) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of automotive equipment.
- Candidates must satisfy the requirements for School Bus Driver as outlined in the Rules and Regulations of the New York State Commissioner of Education, State Education Law, and Vehicle and Traffic Law.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a clean driving record, and an appropriate driver’s license issued by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.
Terms of Employment:
- Full-time, provisional appointment, to begin July 1, 2026
- Twelve (12) month position
- The Lake George Central School District offers a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, estimated at $70,000 to $73,000. This is paired with a comprehensive and generous benefits package.
- A provisional appointment will be made with an examination to be held at a later date. The candidate must meet civil service requirements for appointment following the establishment of an eligible list.
