Legal Clerk II
The Warren County District Attorney’s Office is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Legal Clerk II. We handle the prosecution of all criminal matters in Warren County. The office includes a group of attorneys and staff that work toward a common goal of seeing that cases are handled professionally and to ensure that justice is served. We are looking for someone who would like to become a part of our team.
An incumbent in this class is responsible for performing a variety of complex legal office/clerical and administrative duties to support the efficient operation of a municipal legal or legal services office. The work involves the extensive use of computer applications and automated systems in the preparation, storage and distribution of legal documents and correspondence. The class is distinguished from Legal Clerk I and III in the level of complexity of duties and independence required of the position. The work is performed under general supervision of a higher-level supervisor. Does related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, or
- Associate’s degree and one (1) year of full-time, paid clerical experience, which shall have included the use of computer applications and other automated systems as a major function of the job.; or
- Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and three (3) years of full-time, paid clerical experience, which shall have included the use of computer applications and other automated systems as a major function of the job.
RESIDENCY: Residency in Warren County or a contingent County is required.
SALARY: $48,924 (2026 Base Salary)
