Case Manager- Public Defender

The Public Defender’s Office is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Case Manager for their Family Court division.  The employee in this position is responsible for providing case management services to our clients in Warren County Family Court.  Duties include assisting clients with economic, emotional, social, and environmental difficulties through case management, assessments, development of service plans, assistance with forms, and communication and coordination with support services.  The work is performed under the general supervision of the Public Defender, and the employee works closely with the Assistant Public Defenders who practice in Family Court.
 
SALARY: $56,173 (2026 base salary)
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
   A)  Bachelor’s degree or higher in social work, human services, criminal justice, or other related field; or
   B)  Associate’s degree in social work, human services, or other related field, and two (2) years of experience in              either:
                  1) the provision of case management services; or 
                  2) the field of criminal justice.
 
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:  Possession of a valid New York State driver’s license at the time of appointment and throughout the term of employment.
 
RESIDENCY: Candidates must have been legal residents of Warren County or a contiguous county (Essex, Hamilton, Saratoga, Washington) for at least four months immediately preceding the date of the exam.
