NOTICE OF VACANCY
Information Technology Support Technician
The Lake George Central School District is accepting applications for the position of Information Technology Support Technician. This individual will serve as the primary IT support contact at the Elementary School and will also be responsible for additional district and building-level technology tasks, as assigned.
SALARY: $51,813
Effective – March 2, 2026
This position is a 12-month civil service position, and candidates must meet the minimum eligibility requirements associated with the position.
RESIDENCY: Candidates must have been legal residents of Warren County or a contiguous county (Essex, Hamilton, Saratoga, or Washington) for at least four (4) months immediately preceding the date of the exam.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and:
- An Associate's Degree in computer-related technology with a minimum of two years of professional experience in Network or Computer Technology; or
- Four years of experience in the support of network or computer technology;
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience as defined in (A) and (B)above.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Possession of a valid New York State driver’s license at the time of appointment.
The position will be filled based on Civil Service requirements. A provisional appointment will be made with an examination to be held at a later date. The candidate must meet civil service requirements for appointment following the establishment of an eligible list.
