NOTICE OF VACANCY
BOOKKEEPER
(Non-competitive through NYS HELPS)
The Town of Bolton, NY is looking to hire an experienced and detail-oriented bookkeeper. This is a highly responsible position involving municipal bookkeeping, accounting, record keeping, budgeting, payroll and reporting tasks. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with MTX accounting software or accounting software systems a plus. Successful candidates must be well organized, a self-starter and operate independently. This is a non-completive, appointed position.
SALARY: $65,000
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration and two (2) years of satisfactory responsible experience in the field of accounting, auditing or bookkeeping; or
- Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and six (6) years of responsible experience in the field of accounting, auditing or bookkeeping; or
- An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) or (B).
