CLERK (PART-TIME)
The Town of Bolton is seeking a part-time Clerk to assist in our Planning Department. The position is responsible for managing communication and maintaining office organization. Activities in the office include contact with the public and professionals. The Planning Department is responsible for the administration and enforcement of several town codes and ordinances, grant administration, and long-range planning. Duties will be assigned by the Director of Planning & Zoning.
The successful candidate must be able to communicate (email, phone, in-person) with the public, maintain organization of files, possess relevant computer skills, and perform related office tasks. Must be able to work independently and cultivate and maintain working relationships with staff and the public.
SALARY:
$23.93/hour
WEEKLY HOURS:
20 hours

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.
NOTE: Clerical experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for high school.
The position will be filled based upon Civil Service requirements. A provisional appointment will be made with examination to be held at a later date. Candidate must meet Civil Service requirements for appointment following establishment of the Eligible List.
