• SAIL Returns to Glenwood Avenue Campus Following Major Renovations

Accessibility and Infrastructure Upgrades Lay Foundation for Continued Growth and Long-Term Service Across 17 Counties

Southern Adirondack Independent Living (SAIL) is proud to return to their Glenwood Avenue Campus on Monday, July 7, 2025, after a month at a temporary office inside the Aviation Mall. SAIL was the recipient of a New York State Dormitory Authority grant—funding that made it possible to complete essential renovations to strengthen their future and better serve the community.

As an agency, SAIL covers seventeen counties throughout New York State—with the Glenwood Campus located at the heart of that service territory. It also serves as their main administrative hub, playing a vital role in supporting programs that empower people with disabilities to live independently and access critical resources.

“This isn’t just an investment for now—it’s an investment in the future,” said Tyler Whitney of SAIL. “The renovations will allow us to continue to operate essential programs for many years to come.”

The construction focused on key accessibility upgrades—ensuring the building meets the highest standards of inclusion for individuals with disabilities. In addition, extensive infrastructure improvements were made to modernize the campus. These upgrades will help support the growing needs of the community while positioning the agency for long-term sustainability.

SAIL is deeply grateful to its staff, partners, and the broader community for their patience and support throughout the transition period. With their return to the Glenwood Avenue Campus, the organization is excited to resume full operations and continue their work of changing lives throughout the region.
