Fence Foreman

Job Summary

Siena Fence Company is seeking an experienced and dependable Fence Foreman to lead installation crews and oversee daily jobsite operations. The Foreman is responsible for supervising crews, ensuring high-quality fence installations, maintaining safety standards, and delivering projects on time and within scope. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on fence installation experience, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead fence installation crews on residential, commercial, and/or industrial projects
• Read and interpret job plans, layouts, and specifications
• Ensure fences are installed accurately, safely, and to company quality standards
• Coordinate daily work activities and assign tasks to crew members
• Train, mentor, and evaluate crew performance
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and jobsite requirements
• Communicate with project managers, customers, and inspectors as needed
• Monitor material usage, tools, and equipment; report shortages or damages
• Perform quality control inspections and address issues promptly
• Maintain accurate daily job reports and time tracking
• Troubleshoot field issues and make sound decisions under pressure

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in fence installation
• Prior experience as a foreman or crew lead preferred
• Strong knowledge of fence types (wood, vinyl, chain link, ornamental, aluminum, etc.)
• Ability to read plans, measurements, and layouts accurately
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus (if applicable)
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
