Position Opening: Code Compliance Officer
OVERVIEW:
This position involves responsibility for proper enforcement of the Town Zoning Code, Sign Code, Freshwater Wetlands Law, Transient Merchant Peddlers and Solicitors Law, Subdivision Regulations and NYS SPDES Stormwater program. Responsibilities include review of site plans, subdivision plans, drainage plans and reports, road designs, profiles, and other relevant information for compliance with relevant Town codes as well as discretionary approvals as issued by the Town Board, Planning Board and/or Zoning Board of Appeals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A) Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience in zoning, code enforcement, building compliance adherence, or construction related compliance; or
B) Associate’s degree and five (5) years of experience as outlined in (a) above; or
C) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and seven (7) years of related experience as outlined above.
SALARY: $65,000 - $70,000 contingent on expertise and experience
RESIDENCY: Residence in Warren, Saratoga, Washington, Hamilton or Essex County
POSITION START DATE: Anticipated start in early fall
