    REAL PROPERTY TAX SERVICES
    NOTICE OF ANTICIPATED VACANCY
     
    SENIOR REAL PROPERTY CLERK
     
    Reviews and processes recorded deeds in accordance with applicable Real Property Tax Law provisions; Assists with data collection and compilation of data; Assists with general public, officials of government, and town assessors on assessment records and deeds; Compiles, prepares and analyzes a variety of complex real property tax records and reports; Researches County Clerk records when needed to verify deeds, easements, field survey and any other information pertaining to the property records; if error is found, acts to correct maps or real property records. Performs multiple clerical duties such as mail distribution, filing, correspondence and answering telephone inquiries and maintains sales billing and collection; Prepares and prints parcel maps and custom maps using GIS software.
     
    SALARY: $48,924 (2026 Base Salary)
     
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    A) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma; and
    B) Three (3) years of experience in a position dealing with real property records, real estate values, property assessments, zoning tax maps or other related fields.
     
    The position will be filled based upon Civil Service requirements. A provisional appointment will be made with examination to be held at a later date. Candidate must meet Civil Service requirements for appointment following establishment of the Eligible List.
