MOTOR EQUIPMENT OPERATOR (MEDIUM)
Municipal Solid Waste & Recycling
Salary: $53,576 (2026 Base Salary) Full-time with Benefits
Additional $3/hour differential with CDL Position starts January 1, 2026
Warren County is seeking a MOTOR EQUIPMENT OPERATOR MEDIUM for performing safe and efficient operation of medium size automotive equipment (Solid Waste Container Truck) for the transport of Municipal Solid Waste and Recyclables as well as performing a variety of manual tasks in connection with such operation; does related work as required. The work is usually performed under general supervision.
Minimum Qualifications: One (1) year of experience in the operation of motorized construction equipment.
Special Requirements: Eligibility for an appropriate New York State Class A or B license with an air brake endorsement at the time of application and possession of time of appointment.
Hiring preference will be given to the following qualifications:
- Good knowledge of the operation of trucks, tractors and other types of automotive equipment;
- Ability to understand and carry out simple oral and written instructions;
- Industry; dependability; good physical condition.
Authority to fill this job vacancy is subject to the approval of the Board of Supervisors.
