NOTICE OF VACANCY
 
AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC
 
Salary: $54,405 (2025 Base Salary)                                 Full-time with Benefits
Additional $3/hour differential with CDL
 
Warren County is seeking an AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC for performing general automotive, medium and heavy equipment repair and diagnostics in the Maintenance Shop and on the road. Does related work as required. Must have own tools. At this time there are 2 positions available at the Fleet Shop in Warrensburg, NY.
 
Minimum Qualifications:  
A) Two (2) years of experience as a skilled automotive repair person; or
B) Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
 
Special Requirements:
Possession of the appropriate level New York State driver's license is required.
 
Hiring preference will be given to the following qualifications: Experienced in gas and diesel engines, truck and heavy equipment chassis, electronic controls, light and heavy vehicle inspection license, towing and rollback operation, and CDL license.
 
Authority to fill this job vacancy is subject to the approval of the Board of Supervisors.
