ACCOUNT CLERK
Full-time M-F
SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Position performs routine standard accounts receivable and payable. Communication with clients, vendors etc. via phone, fax and email. Files and maintains all records related to processing of payroll, invoices, vouchers, and correspondence. Use of Cloud based Computer applications and database software in performing work assignments. Performs a variety of related activities as required.
SALARY: $41,649.08
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and one (1) year of clerical experience maintaining financial accounts and records.
NOTE: Successful completion of coursework beyond high school in accounting, business administration, or closely related field, may be substituted for the required experience with three semester credit hours of related coursework as indicated above being equivalent to three months of experience.
RESIDENCY: Candidates must have been legal residents of Warren County, a contiguous county (Essex, Hamilton, Saratoga, Washington) for at least four months immediately preceding the date of the exam.
The position will be filled based upon Civil Service requirements. A provisional appointment will be made with examination to be held at a later date. Candidates must meet Civil Service requirements for appointments following establishment of the Eligible List.
