    Mortgage Closing Supervisor

    About this position:

    Responsible for coordinating, organizing, processing, and maintaining residential loan files for closings, secondary market delivery and/or post-closing activity.  Manage day-to-day workflow and personnel to provide efficient and effective closing of residential loan applications.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    > Assign applications, manage loan closing pipeline, respond to application inquiries, and coordinate mortgage closings with department personnel and residential closing attorneys. Support secondary market delivery and construction advance activity.

    > Prepare, maintain, coordinate, and distribute all residential closing documentation and regulatory disclosures to department personnel and residential closing attorneys to meet regulatory requirements and department workflow.

    > Prepare, review, and reconcile post-closing documentation, various reports, and transaction entries according to Company and regulatory policies, procedures, and controls.

    > Manage, train, coach, and counsel staff to meet department goals and achieve performance standards; encourage continuous improvement for career development.

    > Lead and develop team through day-to-day operations and special assignments; assign and prioritize work within unit and monitor workflow to ensure timely completion and reporting.

    > Keep up to date with regulatory changes, compliance issues, and changes in policies or procedures; communicate and share information with team.

    > Perform outreach to Settlement Agents to facilitate scheduling of loan closings in an efficient and timely manner.

    > Collaborate with department management and colleagues to complete projects/assignments as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education/Certifications:

    > Associate degree or equivalent experience required

    > 4 years of experience in business-related field preferred

    > 1 year of supervisory experience preferred

    > Current NMLS registration or can complete NMLS registration

     

    Skills/Knowledge:

    > Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite:  Word, Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of banking-related software

    > Quality communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable communicating with customers, attorneys, co-workers, and management

    > Strong mathematical and organizational skills

    > Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, assign/delegate work tasks effectively, and meet strict deadlines and quality standards

    > Ability to work both independently and as member of cooperative work team

    > Thorough knowledge of mortgage products and services as well as basic knowledge of current lending regulations

    The salary range for this position is $19.95 - $26.00 commensurate with experience and education.

    Additional compensation may be earned through the Company’s profit-sharing bonus program, subject to individual and company performance.
