    About Us

Fort Ticonderoga is a must-see destination, a center of learning, and an interactive, multi-faceted experience. Hailed as the premier living history site in North America, Fort Ticonderoga’s staff brings history to life every day through signature stories, new interactive programs and world-class museum exhibits, narrated boat tours on Lake Champlain, living history events, premium tours, lush gardens, the Mount Defiance experience, hands-on family activities, and virtual opportunities.

During “Winter Quarters,” November-April, Fort Ticonderoga is open on select dates for programming/conferences/group visits and we also offer virtual programs. Fort Ticonderoga & Mount Defiance daily visitation “Campaign Season” will run May 2-October 25, 2026 9:30am-5pm (last entry 4:30pm). We are closed on Mondays and offer evening and specialty behind the scenes programming. For information on both Winter Quarters & Campaign Season programming, visit www.fortticonderoga.org.

We are owned by The Fort Ticonderoga Association, a 501c3 non-profit educational organization, and is supported in part through generous donations and with some general operating support made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts.
