    Position Summary
    The Pantry Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring CFC’s pantry services run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This position works closely with staff and volunteers to oversee pantry operations; welcome and support clients; coordinate food distribution; and ensure accurate data collection. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, community-centered environment.
     
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    Pantry Coordination (Primary Focus)

    • Oversee and support all pantry services (Monday - Wednesday) including set up, throughout the service and closing and clean up.
    • Coordinate all related activities required for successful pantry services, including receiving, organizing and distributing food.
    • Delegate tasks to volunteers and collaborate with the Volunteer Coordinator on training and scheduling.
    • Assist volunteers with signing up for shifts and recording volunteer hours.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients; complete new client intake and accurately maintain confidential client records.
    • Maintain a warm, welcoming and safe environment for clients and volunteers.
    • Keep pantry spaces clean, organized and food-safe, through scheduled up-keep.
    • Report equipment issues or other concerns to the appropriate staff member.
    Data Collection
    • Record and maintain pantry attendance numbers and demographics data to submit monthly.
    • Work with the Food Recovery & Access Manager to track and report food volume
    • Work with the Development Manager to record in-kind product donations and support donor relationship building.
    Organizational Support
    • Follow policies and procedures that govern pantry operations.
    • Participate in cross-program collaboration.
    • Creatively problem solve logistics, maintenance and operational hurdles.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
     
    Qualifications
    • A Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, human services or related field is required.
    • Experience and demonstrated ability to meet the job responsibilities.
    • Ability to build trust and connect with individuals across differences in class, race, gender, and other identities.
    • Experience leading a team of volunteers.
    • Ability to multi-task and manage competing demands.
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
    • Demonstrated commitment to food access.
    • Ability to work independently while effectively prioritizing tasks as well as collaboratively within a team. 
    • Experience with technology systems such as Asana, Microsoft Excel, Office 365, Charity Tracker, and Meal Connect.
    • Spanish language skills a plus.
     
    Physical Demands & Work Environment
    • Must be available for pantry services outside standard business hours (Monday–Wednesday).
    • Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in pantry environments including walk-in coolers, freezers, and outdoor conditions.
    • Must be comfortable driving larger vehicles and operating manual and powered pallet jacks.

    Schedule
    • Monday: 10 hours
    • Tuesday: 10 hours
    • Wednesday: 12 hours
    • Thursday: 8 hours
    • Friday: Off OR split Thursday/Friday into two 4-hour days
    • Required attendance at all pantry services.
