TOWN OF JOHNSBURG—VACANCY
ZONING ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
The Town of Johnsburg is seeking a Zoning Enforcement Officer. The ZEO administers the local zoning ordinance and related state and local laws. This position involves record keeping, public contact and site inspection in the administration of zoning codes. The holder of this position will pursue violations of the Zoning Code and Subdivision Regulations, sewer ordinance, and related local laws and regulations through established enforcement procedures. The work is performed under the general direction of the Town Board and in close cooperation with the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals. Does related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Either:
- Graduation from high school and two years of experience in general construction work or building inspection; or
- Associate’s degree in construction technology or a related field; or
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience as defined in A and B above.
This will be a provisional appointment subject to Civil Service Law and Rules.
