NOTICE OF ANTICIPATED VACANCYDEPUTY DIRECTOR OF REAL PROPERTY TAX SERVICESThe Real Property Tax Services office is seeking candidates for the position of Deputy Director of Real Property Tax Services. This position involves assisting the Director of Real Property Tax Services in all phases of operation of the department. The incumbent performs a variety of tasks in the administration of the county property valuation program and assists the towns in the preparation and maintenance of assessment rolls. Work is performed under the supervision of the Director of Real Property Tax Services with leeway allowed for exercise of independent judgment in carrying out the details of the work. Supervision may be exercised over the work of subordinate personnel.
SALARY RANGE: $64,296 - $71,603 Commensurate with experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Associate’s degree in computer technology or related field and two (2) years of experience working with real property assessment records, real estate values, or title searching techniques; or
- Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and four (4) years of experience as described in (A) above.
The position will be filled based upon Civil Service requirements. A provisional appointment will be made with examination to be held at a later date. Candidate must meet Civil Service requirements for appointment following establishment of the Eligible List.
