NOTICE OF VACANCY
COMMUNITY SERVICES WORKER – LESS THAN PART TIME POSITION
(Non-Competitive under NYS HELP Program)
(up to 20 hours per week)
The Warren County Department of Social Services is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Community Services Worker. This position assist Caseworkers by performing supportive services for their clients in the functional areas of parenting, employment, home management skills, daily living skills, money management. The employee needs to demonstrate the ability to carry out routine tasks and follow oral and written instructions. They must have the ability to maintain cooperative and courteous relationships with clients, agency staff, and the public.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma; and two (2) years of paid work experience in a position involving direct client contact in a position supporting the program provisions in a public or private agency.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Must be able to satisfy the travel requirements of the position throughout employment.
RESIDENCY: Residency in Warren County or a contiguous County is required.
SALARY: $23.52 /hour (Part-time 20 hours/week)
The position will be filled based upon Civil Service requirements under NYS HELPS.
