Central Station Dispatcher

Central Station Dispatcher positions are available for with our regional, well established alarm company. Our central station is located in our Glens Falls, NY office and is manned 24 hours/7 days a week.  Our Central Station Dispatchers are responsible for receiving & verifying alarm signals and dispatching authorities when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and respond to alarms
• Dispatch emergency services
• Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate departments
• Interact professionally with customers and emergency responders
• Adhere to company dispatch procedures and policies
• Utilize alarm monitoring software to maintain alarm/customer account information
• Work closely with field technicians, contractors and customers with logging in/out of accounts and verifying alarm signals

Qualifications:

• Must be proficient with computers and multi-line telephone systems
• Ability to multitask and work extended shifts
• Ability to answer phones and direct calls pleasantly and effectively
• Ability to withstand pressure, remain calm & use good judgment in high paced, crisis situations
• Must have strong communication skills   
• Must have positive attitude
• Must be detailed oriented and organized
• Must be dependable and reliable
• Training will be provided
