    The Role

Help keep Lake George clean, clear, and protected. The Lake George Association (LGA) seeks an organized, resourceful Operations & Executive Support Manager to manage essential operations and help executive priorities move forward.

Reporting primarily to the Chief Financial & Operating Officer (CFOO), you will improve processes, coordinate vendors and colleagues, and carry work through to completion. The role combines approximately 60% operations and 40% executive support, working closely with the CEO and Chief of Staff. You will make decisions within delegated authority and recognize when leadership guidance or approval is needed.

    What You'll Do

    • Manage assigned office operations, workflows, purchasing, and vendor services; improve procedures and identify practical solutions to operational needs.
    • Coordinate the managed IT provider, approved equipment and system changes, user access, and technology records.
    • Coordinate assigned facilities responsibilities with the Facilities Manager, including workspace readiness, access, safety, and continuity.
    • Manage administrative onboarding, offboarding, recruiting logistics, and training coordination; provide limited bookkeeping support under CFOO direction.
    • Manage the CEO’s calendar, meeting preparation, and travel; assess competing requests and track commitments and follow-through.
    • Coordinate assigned Board meeting logistics with the Chief of Staff and arrange routine office coverage as needed.

    What You'll Bring

    • Ability to manage operational workflows and projects, coordinate colleagues and vendors, and follow work through to completion.
    • Experience supporting senior executives and coordinating external service providers.
    • Experience with bookkeeping and financial documentation, plus workplace technology, user access, equipment, or managed IT providers.
    • Sound judgment, discretion with confidential information, clear communication, and the ability to anticipate needs and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and a commitment to a respectful, inclusive workplace.

    Preferred Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, nonprofit management, operations, or a related field—or equivalent education, training, and experience—and at least four years of relevant professional experience are preferred. Nonprofit experience and an interest in conservation are valued. A connection to Lake George, the Adirondacks, or a comparable conservation community is welcomed.
