    Good Afternoon,
     
    What an amazing time in history the past 90 days have been for our world. We can’t thank our community enough for all of your support for the most important thing, supporting each other.  We have seen our community come together in unprecedented partnership. While the challenges have been many, our community has shined like no other! Here is a snapshot of what your ARCC has been doing to serve you and our greater community over the past 90 days. Thank you!!! 
     
    Advocacy for our businesses:

    • 4/3/2020 Johnsburg Town Hall to support North Warren County Business Community
    • 4/16/2020 Letter to Sens Schumer and Gillibrand and Congresswoman Stefanik for Federal Financial Package to Address the Health and Economic Challenges due to COVID19
    • 4/17/2020 ARCC Works with Assemblyman Dan Stec and Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce for a Regional Reopening Approach
    • 4/24/2020 Letter to NYS Department of Labor re: New York State Dislocated Worker Grants
    • 4/29/2020 Letter to Sens Schumer and Gillibrand and Congresswoman Stefanik for Federal Funding for our Rural Counties, Towns and Villages
    • 5/8/2020 Letter to Sens Schumer and Gillibrand and Congresswoman Stefanik for: Glens Falls Hospital requesting funding for rural hospitals
    • 5/16/2020 Letter to Governor Cuomo’s chief associate, Dr. Jim Malatras, urging him to begin reopening businesses in the Capital Region
    • 5/27/2020 Letter to Sens Schumer and Gillibrand and Congresswoman Stefanik for: Please Support Paycheck Protection Program Expansion of Period Eligibility
    • 6/1/2020 Support for Aviation Mall change in zoning at Queensbury Town Hall Meeting
    • 6/15/2020 ARCC Oral Testimony to the NY State Assembly Small Business Committee: four areas NY State can help small businesses during this crisis
    • 6/17/2020 Organized a press conference with Senator Betty Little, Assemblyman Dan Stec and Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner at Aviation Mall, to urge Governor Cuomo to reopen retail and small businesses located inside shopping malls
    • 6/23/2020 Federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funds set aside for the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) presently held for review by the NYS Department of Budget
    • Worked with Congresswoman Stefanik on updating the PPP guidance to better serve our businesses. ARCC specific verbiage now part of PPP guidance to specify that seasonal business did not have to be in operation on Feb. 15, 2020.
    • Hosted three Conversations with your Legislators, on 3/19, 4/8, and 5/13/2020
    Education:
    • Wear Your Mask Campaign encouraging community members to wear masks/face coverings in public and practice social distancing and hand washing
    • Sent 144 informational emails, including resources and announcements on PPP, EIDL, Governor Cuomo Executive Orders, grants, business loans, and more
    • Small Business Administration (SBA) PPP Update with Regional Administrator Steve Bulger – 5/10/2020
    • Catamount Consulting virtual training – Back to Business
    • StoredTech virtual training – Using Microsoft Teams
    Collaboration with ARCC Members to offer resources and education opportunities to assist businesses:
    • SUNY Adirondack, Whiteman Ostermann & Hanna LLP, Amsure, and StoredTech – Cyber Security During COVID-19
    • LookTV interviews, updating viewers on the state of the business community
    • Participation on Warren County Economic Recovery Task Force & Communications Committee
    • Participation on Reopen Washington County Committee
    • Partnering with Warren County EDC on advocacy issues
    • Partnering with Warren County Tourism, Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce, and local businesses to promote tourism in our region
    Connections:
    • Connected with hundreds of businesses, regardless of Chamber membership status, via phone and email to assist them with their needs
    • Members submitted job openings and opportunities for ARCC to share with greater community
    • ARCC shared hundreds of news updates and announcements on behalf of our members
    • Connected businesses with each other for services and product needs
    • Liaison for many of our individual businesses with local, state and Federal officials
