NOTICE OF VACANCY
POSITION: Maintenance Worker
LOCATION: Bolton Central School District
DUTIES: Performs a variety of semi-skilled maintenance, repair, and general labor tasks in buildings, facilities, and grounds. Work includes assisting skilled tradespeople or independently completing basic maintenance duties. Tasks may involve carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical repairs, masonry, and equipment upkeep. Operates light trucks and other motorized equipment as needed. May also assist with field and recreation area maintenance, snow removal and basic plumbing and electrical work, and general handyman tasks.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND ATTRIBUTES: Good knowledge of building and general maintenance and repair practices; Knowledge of the practices and techniques of one or more of the standard trades; Mechanical aptitude; industry; Good physical condition; dependability; manual dexterity.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A) Two (2) years of experience in either general building maintenance, heavy construction or building trade work or in one or more of the standard trades, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc; or
B) Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
STARTING DATE: November 24, 2025
BENEFITS: Membership in the appropriate retirement system, health, dental and life insurance, sick, vacation and personal leave.
SALARY: Salary commensurate with experience. Starting salary is $45,000.
