Location: Queensbury / Lake George / Saratoga Region, NY Job Type: Part-Time (with potential for full-time hours this summer)
About Agrario Design: Agrario Design is a growing ecological landscape design and stewardship company. Recently established in the Queensbury, Lake George, and Saratoga region, we are quickly positioning ourselves as a local leader in sustainable land management. We offer a thoughtful alternative to conventional "mow and blow" landscaping. Instead, we design, install, and manage landscapes as "living systems"—using native plants to solve site issues, reduce maintenance, and restore local ecology for our residential and commercial clients.
As a regional startup, our workload is expanding rapidly, and we expect a full load of hours this summer. We are looking for motivated individuals to grow with us from the ground up!
The Role: We are currently seeking part-time crew members to fill in for new landscape installations, ongoing ecological maintenance (stewardship), and to help care for our growing native plant inventory. You will be hands-on in the field, helping us transition traditional properties into resilient, dynamic outdoor environments.
What You Will Do:
- Installations: Assist with planting native trees, shrubs, and perennials, as well as proper soil preparation and site establishment.
- Ecological Stewardship: Perform specialized garden maintenance, including weeding, pruning, and managing plant health without heavy chemical inputs.
- Nursery Care: Help care for and manage our growing inventory of plant material.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience is a bonus, but not required! We are happy to train the right person.
- A strong willingness to listen, learn, and cooperate to maintain a safe, positive, and educational jobsite.
- A proactive, self-motivated, and hard-working attitude.
- Ability to perform physical labor, regularly lift 50 lbs, and work 8-hour days in a variety of weather conditions.
- Must have reliable personal transportation to and from jobsites.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Pay ($17.50-$25.00/hr): Starting wages that will grow alongside your experience and responsibility.
- Hands-on Education: On-the-job training in horticulture, ecological gardening, and restoration ecology practices.
- Career Growth: The unique ability to get in on the ground floor of a growing startup and transition into longer-term roles with more responsibility.
- Please Note: As an early-stage startup, we cannot currently offer official health/retirement benefits, but we are actively targeting the rollout of a competitive bonus structure by the end of this season or next.
