NOTICE OF VACANCY
Driver Aide
Queensbury Union Free School District is recruiting for full-time and substitute Driver Aides.
OVERVIEW: The position involves responsibility for assisting the Bus Driver in maintaining order on a bus, overseeing the loading and unloading of student passengers, and administering to their needs, comfort, and conduct. The work may include working with students with physical, sensory, emotional or learning disabilities on a school bus. Supervision is exercised over the conduct of students. The incumbent does related work as required.
SALARY:
Permanent Driver Aide: Starting at $17.23, with benefits
Substitute Driver Aide: $20.00 per hour (no benefits)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma; and
- Must be at least 19 years of age at time of appointment.
Special Requirements: Candidates must meet the requirements set forth by the New York State Education Department.
