    Assistant Food & Beverage Manager
    The Lake George Steamboat Company is looking for an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. This is a seasonal, full-time position that runs from April through October.  
    We are a fast-paced venue, with three cruise boats on beautiful Lake George. We have a great team of employees. Everyone works together to make our guests’ experiences memorable ones. 
    The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will assist the Food & Beverage Director in all facets and will have responsibilities such as:
    Responsibilities

    • Daily Operations
      • Ensure compliance with all Department of Health, NYS Liquor Authority, health and safety, labor, cash, security, and inventory policies, procedures, and laws
      • Enforce high standards for facility cleanliness and safety
      • Work alongside the team in order to offer the best standard of service
      • Check in orders, maintain inventory, and order supplies as needed
      • Preparing cruises for special events by working with the Charter Director and Group Sales Director to ensure the requests of groups, private parties and other special events are met.
    • Overseeing Staff
      • Maintaining a collaborative and respectful work environment
      • Hiring, training, and maintaining employees
      • Setting the schedule to ensure proper coverage and accurate payroll
    • Customer Service
      • Interact with our guests to build relationships.
      • Handle customer feedback professionally
    Requirements:
    • At least 21 years old
    • Availability to work nights, weekends, and Holidays from April through October.  
    • Restaurant Management Experience
    • Basic Computer proficiency, familiarity with Word and Excel
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
    Helpful Qualifications include:
    • Experience with POS systems.
    • ServSafe Program Certification
    • TIPS (Liquors) Program Certification
