The Program Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the coordination of the court referred cases to the Center. The position is funded in large part by a grant from the New York State Office of Court Administration.
Mediation Matters, Inc. was founded in 1979 as a non-profit, community-based organization to provide the skills and processes that help people handle conflict in a constructive way. The Center specializes in providing mediation and conflict resolution skills, training and consulting. Offices are located in Glens Falls, Albany, Saratoga Springs, and Schenectady NY; currently all staff are predominantly working remotely.
Job duties will include, but are not limited to, relationship development and management with court/county personnel; case management including: intake, managing referrals, and working with the case management database; education and outreach about Mediation Matters programs; administrative functions; supporting co-workers to meet the needs of the volunteers; and other duties, as needed.
Travel: eventually some ability to travel to the courts or other Mediation Matters offices is preferred; currently staff are working remotely and not traveling to the courts.
Qualifications: Good written and oral communication skills, sense of humor, computer literacy, access to internet, flexibility, creativity, and a firm commitment to antiracism and equity. Mediation training/understanding is a plus.
Salary and Hours: This position is full time; full time at Mediation Matters is 37.5 hours/week. Salary is commensurate with experience. Mediation Matters contributes to basic individual healthcare plans. Generous leave time benefits package included.
