Navigator

SAIL is seeking interested, qualified individuals who are interested in applying for the full-time NYS Health Benefit Exchange Program, Navigator position.

The Navigator is responsible to assist The New York State Department of Health with the implementation and delivery of the Health Benefit Exchange (HBE). The HBE Program assists community members with the online Health Insurance application in the New York State Marketplace, to help meet consumers’ individual needs. In addition, the Navigator will provide information sessions, act as a resource for staff and consumers for health insurance and community-based services, maintain collaborative working relationships with other community based agencies and business partners, and assist with grant reporting requirements.

This position requires at least a high school diploma, with AA preferred and five (5) years of related experience or other comparable education and experience. The right candidate will be proficient in, and embody the following qualities; verbal and written aptitude; computer programs proficiency; organizational and problem solving skills; vibrant, positive personality.

Due to the nature of this position, work hours may vary based on the needs of the agency and outreach events. Occasional weekend and evening availability may be required.

Status: Full-time, non-exempt position @ 37.5 hours per week Salary Range: $40,000-42,000 annual rate
