    As the Center Coordinator for both the Granville and Whitehall locations of L.E.A.P. Head Start, you are responsible to the program and general public for the overall environment of the center.   You will be working alongside of a team of like-minded individuals who are driven to provide the best possible services that we can for our communities.     Payrate:  $22.20 per hour
    52 weeks per year, 35 hours per week

    Educational Experience Required:   Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, related field, OR equivalent experience.

    Additional Experience Required:
    • Two years experience in Head Start/Early Head Start or a related field.
    • Preferably a minimum of one year experience in an administrative/supervisory role.
    • A valid driver’s license.
    • An understanding of young children and low-income families, and an appreciation of parents as the primary educators of their children.
    What is Head Start?  Head Start is a federally funded, school readiness program for income-eligible, pregnant women and families with children aged birth to 5 years old.  What does that mean? It means that because of L.E.A.P. Head Start / Early Head Start, more than 300 children are prepared to start kindergarten.  It means that parents are being supported as they raise their children amid the obstacles and challenges presented by living in and near the poverty line. Our staff work with families to establish goals focusing on their strengths and connecting them with community resources.
