    Job Description
    WWAARC seeks a full-time (40-hour) Human Resource Generalist. The Human Resource Generalist performs human resource related duties at the professional level across all 3 counties. HR Generalist is required to research, coordinate, participate in career/job fairs, networking events, and other career related events to promote and market career opportunities with WWAARC. Responsible for full cycle recruitment and retention; including but not limited to: recruitment, advertising, external/internal postings, working with proficiency within Applicant Tracking System, interviews, on-boarding, references, change of status procedure, and new hire appointments. This position provides administrative support to the HR Department on all personnel and HR system matters including, but not limited to: letters, mailing, filing, data entry including Affirmative Action Plan tracking, and all other HR systems as required Active participation in HR department meetings and strategic planning is required. Travel between the two Administrative Offices is required (Quaker Road , Queensbury & Krumkill Road, Slingerlands).

    • Prior experience in Human Resources strongly preferred
    • Experience with HRMS preferred
    • Experience with HRIS/Applicant tracking system, preferred
    • Strong communication skills required: in person, phone, written and electronic
    • Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, Must be willing to learn new computer programs.
    • Administrative experience, in Human Resources a plus.
    • Must be able to work independently and also in teams.
    • A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Human Resources or Business, plus one to three years relevant experience is preferred. Minimum qualifications include High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • SHRM-CP or PHR are strongly preferred. A willingness to obtain HR Certification is required.
    • WWAARC Agency insurable Driver’s License required.

    Anticipated Shift:
    A typical work week is Monday through Friday, day hours; however, this position requires flexibility. The HR Generalist must be available for some evenings and occasional weekends as needs require for recruitment events, projects, training's, and seminars. Travel between the two Administrative Offices is required (Quaker Road , Queensbury & Krumkill Road, Slingerlands); as well as, any travel within the 3 counties. This is hourly non-exempt position.
