NOTICE OF VACANCY
WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR TRAINEE
(TYPE 4A PLANT)
City of Glens Falls is seeking candidates to fill the full-time position of Wastewater Operator Trainee for our Type 4A plant that operates 24/7. The work involves learning the duties and routines in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant. The incumbent in this position undergoes on-the-job training to become qualified as an operator within the plant.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.
RESIDENCY: Residency in Warren County or a contiguous County is required
SALARY: $43,712 (Grade 13, plus shift differential for 4pm-12am and 12am-8am)
Position will remain open until it is filled, based on Civil Service requirements. A provisional appointment will be made with examination to be held at a later date. Selected candidate must meet civil service requirements for appointment following the establishment of eligibility list.
