PROGRAM COORDINATOR- PEER-TO-PEER SUPPORT SERVICES
The Warren County Veteran’s Services Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Program Coordinator. The Coordinator is responsible for the development and implementation of the PFC Joseph P. Dwyer Peer-to-Peer Program in Warren and Washington Counties. The program goal is to link veterans together for socialization and friendship as well as provide referrals for services to those who are at high risk of homelessness and/or suicide.SALARY: $21,684 (Part-Time, 20 hours/week)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or a related field; OR
B. Associate’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or a related field and two (2) years of full time experience in social work, psychology, counseling, veteran’s services or related field; OR
C. Graduation from high school, possession of a current certification as New York Certified Peer Specialist- Provisional (or higher) and two (2) years of experience in social work, psychology, counseling, veteran’s services or related field.
NOTE: A veteran or first-degree family member of a veteran is preferred.
Position will be temporary and subject to Civil Service law and rules.
