Deputy Controller - City of Glens Falls

CITY OF GLENS FALLS—VACANCY
 
DEPUTY CONTROLLER  (PROVISIONAL)

City of Glens Falls is seeking a full-time, provisional, DEPUTY CONTROLLER. An incumbent in this position assists the City Controller in planning and directing the fiscal affairs of the City of Glens Falls, including accounting, custody and disbursement of municipal funds. The responsibilities include assisting with preparation and issuance of City financial statements and levies, including Water/Sewer department fiscal matters. Does related work required and assigned by the City controller.
 
Residency: Candidates must have been legal resident of Warren or a contiguous County for at least four months immediately preceding the date of the exam.
 
Salary:    $65,000-$68,000   40-hour work week
 
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, or related field AND three (3) years of accounting or auditing experience which involved maintaining or auditing double entry books of a business or government agency. At time of appointment and throughout the term of employment, possession of a valid license.
