The Queensbury Water Department currently has an opening for a Building Maintenance Mechanic. Candidate must possess a New York State driver’s license.
This work involves the repair and maintenance of buildings, grounds and equipment. Must possess electrical skills such that is able to assist and back up water plant instrument technician.
Minimum Civil Service Qualifications are as follows:
- Four Years of experience in general building maintenance, heavy construction or building trades; or
- One year of experience as a journeyman in one of the recognized skilled trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
This is a civil service non-competitive position.
Six-month probationary period applies. Pay is per CSEA Agreement at $29.33/hr.
