    Financial Solutions Representative
     
    Role:
     
    Contacting and answering calls from members in the early stage of delinquency to arrange to bring delinquent account to a current status. Performing your job functions within HRCCU organizational values being our members’ first choice for all life’s financial events.
     
    Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
     
    ·         Contacting and answering calls from Members with delinquent accounts to make payment arrangements that are in best interest of the credit union. FSR will have to handle high volume phone calls from members and other credit union department to resolve problems with a members account. Identify at risk accounts and make all attempts to collect the debt following all Federal & State laws, policy and procedures of the credit union and bring them to attention of Financial Solution Supervisor/Manager for review.
     
    ·         Mailing collecting letters to Members using the collection letter guideline
     
    ·         Processing payments received by the Financial Solution Department
     
    ·         Perform other duties as assigned.
     
    Performance Measurements:
     
    ·         To maximize the collection and/or recovery of credit union assets from delinquent or charged -off loans.
     
    ·         To maintain accurate and complete records of all collection and recovery activity.
     
    ·         To ensure that collection activity is both within credit union policy and within all relevant regulations.
     
    ·         To identify and inform management of potential underwriting problems.
     
    ·         To promote a friendly professional business environment and to support staff.
     
     
    Knowledge and Skills:
     
    ·         Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
     
    ·         A high school education or GED. Notary license preferred.
     
     
    Interpersonal Skills:    

    A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.


    Other Skills:
     
    ·         Knowledge of collection, repossession, and credit reporting laws and requirements.
     
    ·         Preferred experience with collection platforms.
     
    ·         Must possess the ability to remain calm, patient, objective, and professional when presented with difficult situations.
     
    ·         Must be able to work in a time sensitive environment, making sound decisions, communicating this decision to members as well as internal staff.
     
    ·         Excellent communication and organizational skills
