    Job Description


    Glens Falls National Bank & Trust Company is seeking a Trust Senior Specialist.  


    In this position with our Trust and Wealth Services team, you would be responsible for assisting and supporting Trust Professionals on the team by helping with the administration of trust accounts and other wealth services accounts managed by the team.   This would include preparing administrative and transaction requests and assisting in communicating with customers.   This position would also help in the settlement of estates.  The trust team will help provide education and training on trust and estate administration.    



    §      Assist customers with variety of requests, provide resolution and communicate results with customers and department team members.

    §      Process a variety of transactions (opening/closing accounts, preparing requests for distributions from trust accounts) and obtain documentation for accounts according to established policies and procedures.  Research discrepancies and provide resolution. Work with Trust Professionals to resolve problems and address customer concerns.

    §      Assist Trust Professionals to ensure compliance with regulatory and tax laws. 

    §    Provide support to Trust Professionals and Division Managers to work toward achievement of department goals, division objectives, and Company strategic plan.



    §           Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

    §           4 to 6 years’ experience in related field preferred



    Skills/Knowledge Requirements: 

    §      Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite:  Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; ability to learn department specific software

    §      Solid decision making and problem solving skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks/projects to meet critical deadlines

    §      Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable communicating with clients, co-workers, and management
