ABOUT THE POSITION
In this position within our Mortgage department, you would be responsible for underwriting and presenting residential loan applications, analyzing supporting documentation and making appropriate decision recommendations which comply with operating policies and procedures established for the real estate lending function.
§ Analyze income and credit worthiness to determine applicant ability and willingness to repay.
§ Review and analyze income documentation, appraisal reports and other documentation for adequacy and compliance with Bank, secondary market, regulatory and other third party guidelines.
§ Work directly with other Company personnel, closing attorneys, and real estate appraisers to ensure that files are complete and documented adequately prior to closing.
§ Assist with administration of construction loans by making recommendations regarding builder approval, construction advance schedules and draw requests.
§ Support closing and secondary market function by reviewing closing documentation and final secondary market loan file data.
§ Prepare, review and reconciles reports as requested.
§ Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
§ 4-6 years of finance, real estate, legal or general business experience required; 2+ years of mortgage-related experience preferred
§ Solid problem solving, organizational and analytical skills; ability to extract and interpret information from multiple sources
§ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable communicating with customers, co-workers, management, and other third parties
§ Thorough knowledge of underwriting, all mortgage products, and current lending regulations
§ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook as well as banking-related software
