    Glens Falls National Bank & Trust Company is seeking and experienced 

    Mortgage Processor

    - Thorough knowledge of mortgage products and services as well as basic knowledge of current lending regulations. 

    Quality communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable communicating with customers, appraisers, co-workers, and management. 

      

    ABOUT THE POSITION 

    In this position with our department, you would be responsible for coordinating, organizing, and maintaining pending residential loan files. Works closely with Mortgage Originators and Processing Supervisor to ensure timely and quality customer service. Focus on supporting the efficient and regulatory compliant processing of residential loan applications. Summary from Job Description 

    Responsibilities Include: 

    Respond to application inquiries, coordinate mortgage processing activity and timely underwriting submission with department personnel and external service providers as appropriate. 

    § Prepare, maintain, and coordinate all residential loan files, regulatory disclosures and/or verification forms as appropriate to meet regulatory requirements and to meet department work flow. 

    § Prepare, review and reconcile loan pipelines, post-closing documentation, various reports, and/or general ledger entries according to Company and regulatory policies and procedures. 

    § Review pipelines for regulatory monitoring and notifications; prepare appraisal requests and track for file completeness. 

    § Assist with obtaining references for builder approval process and other assignments as needed. 

    Qualifications: 

    § Education/Certifications/Experience: 

    § Associates Degree or equivalent experience required 

    § 2-4 years of experience in a business-related field preferred 

      

    Skills/Knowledge Requirements: 

    § Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as knowledge of banking-related software  

    § Quality communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable communicating with customers, appraisers, co-workers, and management 

    § Strong mathematical and organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines 

    § Thorough knowledge of mortgage products and services as well as basic knowledge of current lending regulations
