    About the Job
    WDR, CPA of Queensbury, NY is searching for a self-motivated professional to join our team as a Staff Auditor/Accountant. WDR's audit practice is focused around client service and education so you will be joining a dynamic group of professionals who are exposed to a wide variety of tasks and projects to include: complex audit projects, review engagements, financial statement preparation for not-for-profits, governments and employee benefit plans, reviewing policy and procedures, advising on organizational improvements, etc. Along with auditing, the Staff Auditor will work with tax preparation for individuals, corporations and not-for-profits, developing a full range of experience within this busy firm. The position is ideal for a career-oriented individual looking for progression in the field.     Basic Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree with active progression toward CPA license or Master’s degree
    • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and improve upon skills
    • Able to manage time effectively, multitask and maintain composure during stressful situations
    • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel (QuickBooks a plus)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, team building, leadership and organizational skills.
    • Exceptional research, planning, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
    Preferred Qualifications
    • 1-7 years of audit/accounting experience
    • Prior experience with not-for-profit and governmental audits
    • CPA license or other professional certifications
    Hour Requirements
    At WDR, we are focused on providing a challenging and rewarding work environment that allows you the flexibility to maintain your life outside of work. Generally, a normal week outside of tax season is 40 hours, and up to 55 hours per week during tax season.
