DESCRIPTION:This month's discussion will be facilitated by WBC Member Sherry Finkel Murphy\, CFP \, ChFC \, RICP \, Associate Wealth Management Advisor for The Atrium Financial Group. The discussion will be centered around developing productive\, structured\, relationship networking skills to develop reputation\, ambassadorship and yield mutually rewarding business outcomes.\n\n \n\n Following this discussion you can practice your networking skills through our breakout room networking exercise\, and round it out with 5-minutes of expertise. Grab a cup of coffee and join us!\n\n\n\nAbout our speaker\n\nSherry Finkel Murphy\, CFP \, ChFC \, RICP \, Associate Wealth Management Advisor\, The Atrium Financial Group\n\n\n\nPrior to joining Northwestern Mutual\, Sherry enjoyed a successful career in technology and technology leadership\, from which\, after many mergers and acquisitions\, she 'soft-retired.' She created her second act to share her financial\, business\, and career expertise. Her own experience with marriage\, divorce\, re-partnering\, launching kids\, and managing the care of aging parents greatly informs her work. Combining career\, business\, and financial coaching\, Sherry provides her clients with a highly collaborative strategy to achieve their unique goals. In 2019\, she merged her practice with The Atrium Financial Group and now leads the women's planning segment. \n\n\n\nSherry is an alumnus of the University of Rochester (B.A) and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (M.S.). She is a founder and former Chair of the Women's Business Council of the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce\, a member of the Professional Development Committee of the University at Rochester Women's Initiative\, and board member emeritus of Wellspring\, ending relationship violence in our community. In addition\, Sherry is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Eastern New York.\n\n\n\nSherry currently resides in Saratoga Springs with her husband\, Col. (ret) Fred Elbert\, P.E.\, an engineering project management business owner. While Fred is off hunting waterfowl\, Sherry can be found making a variety of soups\, enjoying the Adirondack community\, and snatching kettlebells.
