DESCRIPTION:The Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce is collaborating with The North Country Chamber of Commerce to bring leading healthcare providers together from across the region to review COVID-19 Vaccine safety and to discuss vaccine hesitancy that is being reported from physicians and vaccination sites across the state. \n\n\n\nWe will be hosting medical professionals from both regions in a moderated panel discussion to highlight the significant benefits to public health and the associated economic impacts that getting New Yorkers vaccinated will bring. \n\n\n\nMeet our Panelists:\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n William Borgos\, M.D.\, Chief Medical Officer\, Hudson Headwaters Health Network is a specialist in Family Medicine & Primary Care with a BA from the University of Notre Dame\, received his medical degree from The John Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Michigan Family Practice Residency Program. \n\n\n\n \n\n Beth Bartos\, M.D.\, Family Medicine Specialist\, Adirondack Heath\, graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine & Public Health\,University of Wisconsin School of Medicine & Public Health in 1987. She specializes in Family Medicine and Primary Care and completed her Medical Residency at Albany Medical Center.\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWouter Rietsema\, MD. Vice President of Population Health and Information Services & Chief Medical Officer of the Adirondacks Accountable Care Organization also serves as clinician for North Country Regional Vaccination Network/CVPH - UVNH. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 1985. After an internship at the San Diego Naval Hospital in California\, he went on to serve four years of active duty at the Naval Hospital in Groton\, Connecticut as a Submarine and Diving Medical Officer. Dr. Rietsma left active duty in 1990 to complete his postgraduate training in Portland\, Oregon\, where he completed his Internal Medicine residency at Good Samaritan Hospital and then his Infectious Disease fellowship at the Oregon Health Sciences University.\n\n\n\n\n\nGeoffrey L. Serfilippi\, MD\, Pulmonology Specialist and co-director of Intensive Care Medicine at Glens Falls Hospital since 2014\, Dr. Serfilippi received his undergraduate degree from Siena College and received his medical degree from The Albany Medical College of Union University in Albany\, New York. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowships in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
