Spectator Sports and Events

The Glens Falls Civic Center is the new home of the American Hockey League's Adirondack Phantoms. It also hosts the New York State High School Boys' and New York State High School Federation Basketball Tournaments, in addition to housing the New York State Basketball Hall of Fame. The Center is the venue for many events throughout the year such as the Adirondack Stampede Charity Rodeo, Sesame Street Live, concerts, trade shows and community events. The New York State Girls Volleyball Championships are played at the Center in November.

The Adirondack Sports Complex in Queensbury is large enough to accommodate two baseballs games at once. "The Dome" hosts a variety of sporting events, trade and specialty shows all year.

Golden Goal Tournament Park in Fort Ann hosts soccer and lacrosse tournaments and camps.

The Glens Falls Greenjackets Football Team of the NAFL have been in existence for over 75 years. Games are played at East Field in Glens Falls from July to through September. Little league baseball and youth hockey flourish in the region, as do inter-and intrascholastic baseball, football, basketball, field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, gymnastics, soccer, swimming, tennis, golf, downhill and cross-country skiing, and track.
