Music, Theater and The Arts in the Adirondacks

The hills are alive with music, laughter and drama. Here can be found entertainment to suit every mood, whether itâ¬"s the Lake George Opera, Adirondack Theatre Festival, or Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra - there's something for everyone. The Glens Falls Civic Center hosts a year-round array of concerts, family shows, dance and theatre.

The renowned Lake George Dinner Theatre at the Holiday Inn Turf at Lake George and the Charles R. Wood Theater in downtown Glens Falls offer live professional entertainment. The Luzerne Music Center in Lake Luzerne attracts teachers and students from around the globe each summer. Shepard Park in Lake George Village is the site of the Lake George Jazz Festival. City Park and Crandall Park in Glens Falls are venues for summer concerts by the Glens Falls City Band and many other events. Community musical events are a featured summer entertainment in many towns in the region.

The Arts

The Adirondack Region nurtures an active community of artists and musicians who enrich the lives of those who make their homes here and brighten the stays of those who visit. Chamber member artists include bjsartworks and Traditional Arts in Upstate New York.

From the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council Festivals to Crandall Public Library, from the City of Glens Falls, Villages of Hudson Falls,South Glens Falls and North Creek, to the Towns of Queensbury, Cambridge,Fort Ann,Fort Edward, Granville, Greenwich, or Ticonderoga, the talent on display in the region's concert halls, schools and parks is prodigious.
