Leadership Adirondack Program

NEWS from the Class of 2012...

The 2011-12 Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce Leadership Adirondack class has announced it will make a commitment to donating 400 hours of volunteer service to the region's not-for-profits.

Each member of the 2012 class will donate 20 hours to the community through January. In addition, the class will support the Tri-County United Way Auction, the South Glens Falls "Home for the Holidays" parade by assisting with parade events and the coordination of food collection at the parade which benefits local food pantries.

Class members will also dedicate a day of caring through programs such as "Warm the Children," a co- operative program providing outer wear for under-served children that is coordinated through the Glens Falls Rotary Club and The Post-Star. Class members will also encourage friends and family to participate in their volunteer effort to increase overall hours given back to the region.

History

Since graduating from their Leadership Adirondack Class, several LAdk members have been elected to public offices, school boards and serve as volunteer leaders of state and regional non-profits. Many graduates have been appointed to the most senior positions in their corporations and/or organizations and to numerous commissions and boards of directors. Their voices are among the most influential in our region. LAdk is now in its 21st year, graduating more than 300 community minded leaders since 1991.
