Through the Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES), the region's school districts have further enhanced their capacity to provide local students with access to a range of sophisticated career and technical education programs as well. For students interested in a career in health care, engineering or the theater arts especially, the BOCES offers a 'New Visions' program designed to help college-bound high school seniors gain valuable experience and knowledge. While admission into the New Visions program is competitive and highly selective, the BOCES provides a range of additional technical and enrichment courses in land conservation, CISCO networking, criminal justice, culinary arts, electronic imaging, graphic and visual communication, machine tool technology, and much more. The BOCES website contains a wealth of information about the many programs offered through this cooperative educational system established to meet the shared needs of the region's students, educators and school districts. While visiting this website, you can also learn more about job openings for teachers and other educators in the region's school districts.
