Registration is now available for Job Discovery 2012

Job Discovery 2012, the region’s premiere job and career fair, is scheduled for Thursday, March 15^th from 10 am-5 pm at SUNY Adirondack. Organizers are now registering local businesses to participate. The cost is $170 which includes a professional 8’ x 8’ booth, advertising and more.

Those interested are encouraged to register early as the event sells out each year.

Local businesses traditionally use this event to help fill both immediate openings and network with potential candidates for future consideration. Job Discovery also provides an excellent opportunity for community awareness and outreach.  Training facilities to prepare individuals for future employment are also encouraged to register.

This year marks the 24^th anniversary of the annual event which attracts an average of more than 2,000 attendees each year. Organizers stated that individuals come to participate in job search and career related workshops, have their resumes reviewed, discover job search resources and services, and most importantly visit with more than 60 exhibitors to discuss employment opportunities and find out more about local employers. The job fair is free and open to any individual seeking employment or a job change. Opportunities traditionally include full and part time year round jobs as well as seasonal jobs.
