Network for Enterprising Women (NEW)

The Network for Enterprising Women was started in 2003 by ARCC as an asset for women in executive and management decision-making roles in businesses throughout the region. The network functions with the mission of helping participants to regularly meet with their peers in order to develop lasting and productive business relationships and help their companies to succeed, grow, and thrive. While the primary focus is on business development, the network encourages participation through its monthly brownbag luncheons by providing access to speakers who will discuss trends and technical expertise that is of direct value both personally and professionally.

Information About the Lunches

Lunch meetings are usually held on the first Tuesday of each month, and begin at noon. You may bring your own lunch or pre-order an item from the Ramada Inn. Soda and water are provided. These lunch programs are free and open to ARCC members and non-members on a limited basis. Pre-registration is not required. For more information please call the Chamber at 798-1761.

Next Meetings:

Tuesday, January 5, 2010: NETWORK FOR ENTERPRISING WOMEN (N.E.W.) LUNCH @ The Ramada Inn-Glens Falls, 1 Abby Lane (I-87 Exit 19), Queensbury. Noon-1 p.m. Free. “Eating Healthier in 2010 – Foods to Avoid” with Aimee Hetzer from the Natural Health Improvement Center. Are you confused more than ever about what you eat?  Let's make your next shopping trip one with a little more clarity, insight, wit & wisdom. Aimee will help sort through any confusion and all of the food myths about good, healthy food so you can start a new year with a new healthier food choices that will improve your health.

Originally from Westchester County, Aimee Hetzer relocated to Glens Falls to join the staff of NHIC. To fulfill her desire to expand her education and knowledge of health and wellness she studied with a nationally recognized expert in the field of nutrition, Dr. Lester Bryman, co-founder of Nutrition Response Testing. She received her Master Certification in Nutrition Response Testing, only one of 160 in the country trained to this high professional level and now she brings her knowledge to serve this community.  NR Testing is a very precise, scientific, non-invasive system of analyzing the body to determine the underlying causes of ill or non-optimum health, and placing a person on a personalized program of whole food nutritional supplements and diet to allow the body to repair itself. It will discover the malfunctioning systems of the body and the nutritional deficiency or toxins causing it.

Special note: Even though we are past the holiday season a lot of our neighbors are still out of work and in need. We will be collecting non-perishable food items in support of the Live United This Winter campaign and bringing them to one of our local food pantries.

The Ramada offers a special lunch menu. To order by credit card call Amy Hoffer at 793-7701 by 10 a.m. on the day of NEW. For information contact Patti Pepe at 798-1761.

Registry members are also listed on this page (at bottom) with active links for     e-mail and websites. To print the sign-up form, click here. For information, please contact Patti Pepe at 798-1761 or email her at ppepe@adirondackchamber.org.

Sponsorship Information

Various sponsorship levels are available for NEW, which will provide an excellent opportunity for support and growth of this vital and growing group. For further information regarding sponsorships, please contact Patti Pepe at ARCC, 798-1761. Now is the time to consider sponsorship in 2009.
